Dopo una settimana di duro lavoro sono andato con un amico a vedere il Bike Expo, dove ho incontrato tutti i bikers del forum della rivista Biker's Life. Un saluto a tutti voi ragazzi, mi fa sempre un piacere enorme vedervi ai nostri incontri.

After a week of hard work I went with a friend to visit the Bike Expo where I met all the bikers I knew in the forum of the Biker's Life. This is the most important expo-meeting for custom and chopper motorbikes.

Dopo una settimana passata nel mio ufficio lavorando per i miei clienti, ho realizzato che non ho postato niente sul mio blog tutti questi giorni. Voglio metterci qualcosa che feci durante il 2002, quando camminavo per le strade guardando in alto, sui muri e sugli antichi portoni..

After a full week spent into my office working for my clients, I realized that I didn't post anything on my blog all these days :(
I want to post here something I did during 2002, when I was walking in the streets watching above, on the walls and on the ancient main doors..

For the last one post of the week I just want to retourn back to the summer I went, with my old highschool friend Andrea, through Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia. If you want to visit the interactive journey I made, you can go HERE, it is only in italian language, but I think you could be enjoyed to visit it globally and day per day.

Bohinj, the waterfalls

Un'altra vista del lago di Bohinj.. Non riesco a togliermelo dalla testa.. Vicino al lago ghiacciato si possono visitare le cascate "Mostnice". Sono situate a 4 Km dal lago e dovete camminare sulla montagna per vederle. Il sentiero è facile attraverso il bosco, ma è stata dura raggiungere le cascate andando attraverso il bosco con tutta quella neve. Partendo dal lago si può visitare il cimitero della Prima Guerra, nella foto si vede il cancello mezzo innevato. Dopo si può andare avanti per 4Km con la macchina e seguire a piedi un sentiero lungo un pendio scosceso. Ogni tanto ero un po' preoccupato per il sentiero perché, cadendo giù, ci si ferma nel fiume che sta nella gola sottostante. Comunque, la camminata sul sentiero innevato ci ha dato la possibilità di vedere un fantastico panorama sulla vallata, e le cascate con il lago naturale da esse formato. Si può vedere quanto alto è il sito e la magnifica vista che si ha sul lago ghiacciato in mezzo alla fotografia orizzontale.





Another view of the lake of Bohinj.. I can't go away from there with my mind.. So.. near the frozen lake you can visit the "Mostnice" waterfalls. They are situated 4 Km far from the lake and you must walk on the mountain to see them. Simple is the path through the wood, but harder is get the warterfalls site with a lot of snow like we found. Starting the trip you can visit (not in wintertime!) the World War I's cemetery, you can see in the picture its gates, the first half is under the snow. After that you can go by car for 4Km and walk following a path on a steep slope. Sometimes I was a little troubled about the walk, because if you fall down, you stop your fall in the river down the gorge. Anyway, the walk in the snowy path gave us the possibility to see the beautiful panorama on the valley, and the falls with the natural lake formed by them. You can see in the pictures how high the site is and what beautiful view you can have from there onto the Bohinj's lake just in the middle of the orizontal picture.

Quest'anno il lago di Bohinj era ghiacciato, ancora una vista spettacolare della natura.. non mi ha dato la possibilità di giocare con le riflessioni sull'acqua come lo scorso anno ma, questa è la prima volta che vedo un lago ghiacciato e sono comunque felice.

This year the lake of Bohinj was frozen, another spectacular view of the nature.. it gave me not the possibility to play with the reflection on the water as the past year, but that's the first time I see a frozen lake and I'm happy anyway.

Per una notte e una giornata siamo andati a Bled, il lago con dentro l'isola.. Prima di cena stavamo camminando lungo la riva del lago quando incontrammo un giovane cigno, interessato a noi e in qualcosa da mangiare. Dopo esserci presentati decse che non eravamo pericolosi ed uscì dal lago per mangiare del mais e dei pezzi di mela lasciati sul terreno da qualcuno, per lui.

For a night and a day we went to Bled, just to spend a journey on the beautiful lake with the "isle inside" (zoom pic 1 and 3 for the details).. before dinner we were walking on the shoreline, when we met a cygnet, interested in us and in have something to eat from us. After introducing ourself to him, he decided we weren't dangerous, and he came out of the lake to get some corn and little pieces of apple left there, for him, on the ground by someone.

Waiting for

In questi giorni ho l'influenza, sto guardando le foto che ho scattato nei mesi scorsi e sto avendo l'influenza dalle foto di Bill Emory.. (le foto: aspettando lo scatto; aspettando il brindisi; aspettando il mio padrone).

In these days I have the flu, so I'm watching the pictures I shot in the past months and I'm gettin' influenced by the photographs of Bill Emory.. (the pictures: waiting for the shot; waiting for cheers; waiting for my owner).

Non è il tradizionale cibo di fine anno qui al nordest, ma delizioso e particolare, per la fine del 2005!.

That's not the traditional food of the North East of Italy for the dinner of the new year's day, but very delicious and particular for the end of 2005!
