Stupidity

Sometimes people are very silly. They do not understand how they are running into danger, without thinking how difficult could be to get them safe by a rescue team. In that situation we are on the rocky shore near the little town of Veli Losinj (veli means big, but I will talk about it in the next future), and you can see the church on its little harbour. Here the rocky shore is high and it is dangerous if there is a very rough sea.
Once in the Hapsburg's Empire the isle had the best school of seaman in the Mediterranean; every winter day with the rough sea some midshipmen were facing the death betting with other schoolfellows who was the brave one getting closer with the biggest and dangerous waves. Most of them died in this way.
Actually the same stupidity is done by tourists, even if only in the bad summer days.

After the Storm

After a storm during the night, the wind called "bora" started to blow from the north-east. Every time that wind blows, the sea becomes rough and the side exposed to it is dangerous for people and boats that are not accustomed to a rough sea; normally that sea is a peaceful sea..

Hi I'm back! I saw beatiful places and situations in my holyday, and I hope to give you my best shots in the next days (work permitting).. In just 15 days, and into a place I know well since I was a child, I did 1000-1100 photographs and I need to select the best ones. Saturday I will go for a day to Austria for visiting one of the biggest bikers meetings in Europe, so I will have other pictures to share with you.
Thank you for visiting and replying me, I love your comments!

My Granpa

He is my grandfather. He is 87, he did it at the 3rd of august. His name is Domenico, or simply Dino. I really love him as myself. He is my only last granpa I have. He is on a picture, in a past post on here, with my mother, when I was one. Yesterday we went with my girl Mara to eat fishes on a restaurant, where i took these (and other) pictures. In these days my parents are on holyday and I am with him the most of the time. I cook for him on his house or we go out for little trips to Slovenia for eating good dishes, and drinking good wines and beers. He's my hero.

Meeting Salvo

Two days ago I went with my friend Scure to visit another biker, Salvo. After a lunch in a goo restaurant where we meet Salvo's wife, their daughter and son, and his brother in law, we went to the Pedavena's brewery. Their beer has a very good taste, I must retourn there!

Carta Canta

Carta Canta, literal translation "paper sings". Expression used to say that a written text can be incontestable in opposite to verbal forms of communication. You could use that expression on a debate, to demostrate to someone that you are right, because you have something written on a" paper" who can "sing" your right to everyone who is debating you verbally. Tonight I take some pictures to friends'o'mine into an old pub in Trieste, and they are called "Carta Canta".
