E' uscito nei negozi il DVD dedicato a Lelio Luttazzi con mie foto in copertina. Edizioni RAI Trade.

Ho potuto conoscere il Maestro Lelio Luttazzi nei due giorni in cui ha suonato a Trieste il 14 e 15 agosto 2009. Un musicista pieno di swing accompagnato dalla sua band in attività dagli anni '50.

Ci sono mie immagini del loro concerto e delle sessioni di prova sul sito TriesteLovesJazz.

My photographs on the DVD dedicated to Lelio Luttazzi, old italian jazz-piano player, followed by his "life" friends and musicians, and they are playing since the fifties.

I had the opportunity to meet him in Trieste durin the two days when he did the training sessions the August 14, and during the show the day after.

After some weeks without posting I just want to post some pictures I had from my Aikido practice. These pictures were made by my mother, father and girl, during the practice I did before my brown belt exams. I really love and enjoy aikido! In the past two months I had not the possibility to go to the dojo 'cause my photographic work for the TriesteLovesJazz festival, but this evening I will restart the new season and I'm very excited for it! :)

I had the possibilty to photograph another lovely concert with great musicians during the TriesteLovesJazz 2009. I met the famuos stars Duduka DaFonseca, Eddie Gomez, Toninho Horta.. and also Dick Oatts, Helio Alves and Maucha Adnet. The location, as usual, was situated on the biggest and beautiful square in Trieste, Piazza dell'Unita' d'Italia. During the afternoon I spoke some words with them, taking some pictures during the backstage. I arrived on the stage some moments before the sunset and I did some shots of the stage and the staff working on the stage lights. With the beautiful colours of the orange and blue dusk the show started givin' us a very nice concert!

Carlos Santana. Supernatural Tour 2009.

Yesterday evening I was to shoot for the Carlos Santana's Tour 2009. Supernatural! I love to shoot for the big concert, it's very different by the small ones even if shooting for the smallest is lovely because you can have free access to all areas. For the biggest organizations you have restrictions to areas and you need to deal with the staff for having someting more.

Anyway! It was a gorgeous concert and great musicians too!

The room for the photographers under the stage was a few little but we all had the possibility to do our work.

Brian Auger's Oblivion Express

Tomorrow I will meet again Brian Auger and his band. I'm very happy for that, after I photographed them last year during the TriestLovesJazz Festival. This year I will go to meet them near Padova, in the Veneto Region; they are touring Europe since august.
The band is formed by Brian Auger (the Godfather of acid jazz!), his sons Karma and Savannah Auger, and the revolving bass player Andreas Geck. Here some of the pictures I did to them last year in Trieste:

Venice: just a trip

The first days of june we went to visit Venice, for just a little trip. In the days before the trip we had a lot of bad days with rain and storms: not usual for the june's period in Italy. Anyway we went to visit to my girl' sister and we stayed with them for a day, relaxin', drinkin', eating lovely dishes cooked with supremacy by my brother in law. During the afternoon of the sunday we decided to go for the trip to Venice, just because the weather was turning to a lovely sunny, even if the storms were all around the city of Venice.

We used the train to reach the center of Venice, after that three hours by feet to see the famous venetian city. As usual I used my camera, without thinking the pictures would be so interesting for that day.. we were there for some hours and I had not the time to walk for takin pictures. But the weather gave me the possibility to take some really interesting moments, expecially in the famous San Marco's Square, when the sea started to grow up. These are some of the shots I did that day, I hope you will enjoy them as I did while I was photographing.

E' uno spettacolo per bambini dai 2 ai 6 anni e cita la storia dello Gnomo Mirtillo alla ricerca della sua nuova casa passeggiando durante la notte ascoltando i suoni del bosco. Alla fine dello spettacolo i bambini portano in dono foglie e ghiande nella dimora dello gnomo.

"The music of Dwarf Blueberry"

A show for kids from 2 to 6 years old. The history of Dwarf Blueberry searching for his new home, walking during the night through the forest listening to its sounds. At the end of the show children give a gift of leaves and acorns under his tree-home.

Buster Williams "Something More" Quartet

Yesterday I met the biggest of the jazz music Buster Williams, Lenny White, Bennie Maupin and Georg Cooligan. As I said to Mr Williams, the quartet played "surfing the groove", with a fantastic selection of jazz music played with supremacy. The fact is that they play speacking a language between them, and they tell to eachother things that we can hear, but we can't enjoy as the do. I don't know if you understan what I mean.
Yesterday I did the photographs and today the selections of the best shots. For some of them I did some digital retouches just to take off some guys in the back of the piano player.
I do not want to write more on this concert, just 'cause I'm at the end of the day and of the week, and I want only to get my poor eyes!
