Fratta

Queste foto le ho scattate in dicembre sui monti sopra Fratta, il paese dove è nata la mia ragazza. Fratta è una frazione di Tarzo, in Veneto. La sorpresa più grande è stata vedere, grazie ad un cannocchiale, e all'aria estremamente limpida, zone che non avrei mai immaginato che si potessero vedere. Ho visto Trieste (a 200KM circa), le sue case, i monti Sloveni, Capodistria, le coste istriane con dietro in fondo il Monte Maggiore, fino la punta di Pola. E' stato uno spettacolo entusiasmante, che solo chi è nato in queste zone potrà comprendere!








These photographies I did them in december, on the mountains near the little village where my girl was born. The village is called Fratta (the one near the little lake you see on the left), it is a subdivision of a comunicipality of Tarzo, a little city in the Veneto region. The surprise we had that day was the extreme visibility that let us see (with a spyglass) cities away more than 200KM from us. So we could watch my town, Trieste. It was really incredible to see it and the mountains of Slovenia and all the Istia region in Croatia.

The Moon Trapped Under Ice

Ancora alcuni scatti ghiacciati. La foto a lato è la "Luna intrappolata nel ghiacchio", fatta in notturna sempre vicino alla piscina. Le altre sono dello stesso set pubblicato ieri.

Again some ice shots. The black one is the moon trapped under ice, I did the night shot in the same place near the pool. The other ones are from the same set I published yesterday.

New Year's Ice

Ciao a tutti sono tornato!
Sono stato parevvhio occupato tutto il periodo natalizio tra lavori e appuntamenti vari e non ho aperto i miei computers per tutto questo tempo. Ma ora sono qua per iniziare un nuovo anno con voi, scambaindo le foto che ho fatto nei giorni passati.
Voglio solo dirvi "buon Natale e felice anno nuovo!", hehe scusate il ritardo! :)
Quest'anno ho iniziato a pubblicare immagini più grandi che l'anno passato, spero saranno tutte di vostro gradimento; la risoluzione è attorno ai 1035 pixel di lunghezza. Queste immagini sono state scattate attorno ad una piscina scoperta e ghiacciata. Le foto 3 e 4 sono i vetri della mia macchina, l'ultima foto sono impronte delle galline che giravano per i bordi piscina.

Hello my friends I'm back again!
I was so busy with my work and various engagements during all the end of the year period, and for that I did not open my computers for days. But now I'm here to begin another year with you, sharing some of the photos I did in the past days.
So I just want to say you all "have a nice Christmas, and a happy new year!" heehee I beg your pardon for my late! :)
This year I began to publish bigger images, I hope you will enjoy them all! These images you see are taken around a frozen outdoor swimming pool on the countryside, the pictures 3 and 4 are some particulars of my car's glasses, while the footprints are from the chickens walking around the swimming pool's borders.

The Square During Christmas

Purtroppo i miei impegni mi tengono lontano dal postare materiale e spero che riuscirò a farlo prima di Natale.. o perlomeno di scrivere qualcosa in merito alla più bella piazza di Trieste, nonché d'Italia.

Sorry, but my engagements take me away in these days from my blog and all the bloggers and friends I love to visit.. I hope I will have the possibility to post other material before Xmas, or to write something about that square, the best in Trieste, like in Italy.

Sharpen the Teeth

Questo è un vero teschio di dinosauro. La persona al lavoro sta rifinendo le parti mancanti del teschio e dei denti che sono state ricostruite.

This one is a real skull of dinosaur. The man is giving the finishing touch to the skull and the teeth, on the reconstructed parts of it.

Aikido Seminar

Foto scattate durante la cena al Seminario di Aikido organizzato dal nostro Maestro Claudio Benedetti, e con la partecipazione del Maestro Giorgio Oscari. Dopo il primo giorno di allenamenti, tutti i membri della mia squadra organizzano e preparano una cena in dojo, dove cuciniamo vari piatti, minestre, carni, dolci; tutti i partecipanti sono invitati alla cena.

Photograhps taken during the dinner at the Aikido Seminar, organized by our Sensei Claudio Benedetti, and with the participation of Giorgio Oscari Sensei. After the first day of training, all the members of my aikido team organize and prepare the dinner into the dojo, where we cook dishes, soups, meat, cakes; all the participants are invited to the dinner.

Benedictine Convent

Dopo la zona delle vigne c'è un vecchio convento benedettino in una piccola cittadina chiamata Ancarano. Nel IX secolo, un santuario dedicato ad un martire di Trieste, Santo Apollinario, fu costruito su iniziativa del vescovo di Trieste. Duecento anni dopo, nel 1072 il convento fu donato ai benedettini. Attualmente è un albergo, con un bellissimo parco sul mare.

After the zone with the grapevines there is an old Benedictine Convent, in a little city called Ankaran.
In the 9th century, a sanctuary dedicated to a martyr of Trieste, Saint Apollinarius, was built on the initiative of the bishop of Trieste. Two hundred years later (in 1072) the bishop of Trieste Adalger, donated this church with all its possessions to the Benedictine monastery of Saint Nicholas in Venice. Actually it is an hotel, with a beautiful pask on the seashore.

Grapevines

A lovely zone near the borderline between Italy and Slovenia, full of nature, peace, and grapevines. The landscape view shows the gulf of Trieste.

Statues

The buildings in Trieste are plenty of statues. I love to walk on the streets of my town just to see which kind of statue is on the top of a building or on its walls.
