I love to do these shots, it becomes form my interest in the motion on the photographs.. i just LOVE to do pictures with long exposures (even if 1/8 or 1/15 sec.) where you can see people with moving arts or expressions.
The beautiful thing in the shots like these, is not the "still" but the "going to" of a picture :)
And what to say about my love for the bikes? I confirm all you wrote!
