Portraits on a Ferry

Waiting the time on a ferry it could be nice to get some pictures of the interiors and some portraits of us reflected on the fuel tank, or on the chrome parts of my Vulcan, or shooting the shadows on the iron walls of the boat. Mara did my one.
That day we were going on a little weekend holiday in the same place we were this summer. Lovely without tourists!

In the next 8 days of november I will be away for a little holyday on the mountains in the north of the Veneto region, I hope well for the weather, and the cool situations will give me the possibility to get good shots around to share with you! Yours sincerely, Max :)

Bike Week, Faaker See, Austria

Secondo post sul meeting del Faaker See. Ne farò un po' di post sulle fotografie che ho fatto ai bikers che giravano attorno al lago. La Bike Week è una delle più grandi d'Europa. La strada attorno al lago è aperta solo per i motociclisti, e tutto il giorno si possono vedere loro che corrono e si divertono ai ristoranti viconi alla riva del lago.

Second post on the meeting on the lake Faaker See. I will do some posts of the pictures I did there to the bikers riding around the lake. The Bike Week is one of the biggest in Europe. The road around the lake is opened only for the bikes, and all the day you can see them riding and enjoying the life in the restaurants on the lake' shoreline.

After 20 days of hard work I can retourn back to upload something on the blog! These pictures were taken on september 2006 during the Harley fest on the lake Faaker See near Villach, Austria.

Stone Walls

A Lussino (e in molti posti in Croazia) ci sono molti muri di pietra costruiti per tracciare le proprietà coltivate e per proteggere le coltivazioni dal forte vento di bora dal nord est. Tutte le isole sono tracciate da questi muretti a secco. Si può vedere la micro vita degli insetti tra le pietre, formiche che si costruiscono il nido pe l'inverno, api, lucertole, ragni.. Tutte queste creature sono piccolissime, non come quelle di certi paesi, ma è comunque interessante osservarle. Ero in vacanza senza l'obiettivo macro, ma credo che il 18-55 ha fatto comunque un buon lavoro.

In Mali Losinj (and in most places in Croatia) there are lot of stonewalls built for tracing out the boundaries of properties and to protect plants from the strong wind from the north east. All the isles are traced by these stonewalls. You can see the micro life between the stones, ants in the way of built a nest for the winter time, grasshoppers, bees, lizards, spiders.. All these little creatures are not big like the ones you can find in other countries, but watch them is interesting too. I was on holiday without my micro lenses, but I think my lenses 18-55 did however a good job.

This is an incision I did on a rock during a day on the seaside, I did it with some sharp rocks and it represent me and my girlfriend :)
