TriesteLovesJazz festival 2010

The TriesteLovesJazz international festival has begun and my cameras are working every afternoon and evening. In the past months I projected and made all the graphic designs and now I'm photographing all the musicians and the stars who will play on our stages in Trieste.

This year we will be visited by three important international artists: Larry Carlton, Esperanza Spalding and The Trio of Oz (Omar Hakim, Rachel Z and Maeve Roice).

Actually I made the first three events, I post some of the pictures I love for the most, but all the set can be viewed going to the TriesteLovesJazz official website (in the entry gate you can see some of the pictures I made last year).

CD dedicato a Lelio Luttazzi in vendita su Il Piccolo

Domani 15 dicembre 2009 uscirà su Il Piccolo di Trieste il CD dedicato al concerto del Maestro Lelio Luttazzi che ho avuto onore di fotografare quest'estate tra il 14 e il 15 agosto. Il CD è edito da BlueSerge, l'etichetta del musicista Sergio Cossu, (per chi non lo conoscesse è stato produttore e tastierista dei Matia Bazar dal 1984 al 1999), con un elegantissimo lavoro grafico che ho molto apprezzato. Nel libretto del CD altre mie immagini scattate durante le sessioni di prova del Maestro con la sua band presso auditorium della Scuola di Musica 55.

I had the possibilty to photograph another lovely concert with great musicians during the TriesteLovesJazz 2009. I met the famuos stars Duduka DaFonseca, Eddie Gomez, Toninho Horta.. and also Dick Oatts, Helio Alves and Maucha Adnet. The location, as usual, was situated on the biggest and beautiful square in Trieste, Piazza dell'Unita' d'Italia. During the afternoon I spoke some words with them, taking some pictures during the backstage. I arrived on the stage some moments before the sunset and I did some shots of the stage and the staff working on the stage lights. With the beautiful colours of the orange and blue dusk the show started givin' us a very nice concert!

Brian Auger's Oblivion Express

Tomorrow I will meet again Brian Auger and his band. I'm very happy for that, after I photographed them last year during the TriestLovesJazz Festival. This year I will go to meet them near Padova, in the Veneto Region; they are touring Europe since august.
The band is formed by Brian Auger (the Godfather of acid jazz!), his sons Karma and Savannah Auger, and the revolving bass player Andreas Geck. Here some of the pictures I did to them last year in Trieste:
